Xelis is scheduled to change its mining algorithm from XelisHashV2 to XelisHashV3 on December 13th.
If you plan to continue mining after this change, you will need to update your mining software and, in some cases, adjust your miner configuration as well.
We cover the required updates below.
The transition to XelisHashV3 is now live.
TNN miner
CPU support is available starting from version v0.6.0.
Use the flag
--xel
when configuring the miner.
As far as we know, the developer fee remains at 1%.
SRBMiner
CPU support is available starting from version v3.0.6.
If you update the miner before the algorithm change, it will automatically switch from xelishashv2 to xelishashv3
After the change, the correct configuration is to explicitly use
xelishashv3
The developer fee for SRBMiner is 1.5%.
Rigel Miner
NVIDIA GPU support is available starting from version v1.23.0.
Configure the miner to use
xelishashv3
The developer fee for Rigel is 2.0%.
OneZeroMiner
Supports XelisHashV3 starting from version 1.7.3, with compatibility for both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. The developer fee is 2%. Dual mining for Xelis + QTC is also supported (NVIDIA GPUs only).
Conclusion
Shortly after the algorithm change, we will update our estimates and the miner option wizard to reflect the new configuration requirements.
