What is 511c
AMD GPUs, mainly the Polaris generation, may throw the temperature 511c - but the card does not have this temp. What really happen?
Last update: 29.January 2023
511C means the GPU has severe issues with power - one of the 6/8-pin or SATA/MOLEX cables is melting, or the PSU is dying and can't provide enough power. Check all your connectors and wires. If your power supply is modular, verify the modular connector on the power supply as well. When a GPU is losing power, the controller inside it freaks out and reports the max possible temp that it can show, but the issue has nothing to do with overheating - its always a power issue
